Small kitchen - Big Island
Transitional Design with Rustic charm appeal. Clean lines, loads of storage, & a Touch Of Class. Jennifer and Chris wanted to open up their living, dining and kitchen space, making it more accessible to their entertaining needs. This small Pointe-Claire home required a much needed renovation. Keeping in mind their wish list and budget, I went to work on several preliminaries. I knew how much an Island was wanted in the kitchen, Although the kitchen was too small to accommodate an island and knowing that they did not want to make the dining space part of the kitchen. I decided to incorporate the kitchen Island as part of the living and Dining space. The heart of the home. Keeping in mind that taking down a wall would eliminate much needed storage. I wanted to bring the living and dining space as one and incorporate a feature wall showcasing a beautiful ethanol fire place for the living room and an oversized painting and decorative elements at dining space. Some times in design we are forced to think outside the box, and in this beautiful space it worked. Jennifer and Chris have since had many gatherings and are proud to call their house a home.
